Me Time

As girls arrive, we will have an activity sheet, and plates of fruit and veggies for snacking.

Once all girls arrive we will stand and say the Girl Scout Promise, Pledge of Allegiance, then explain the badge we are working on. With the Me Time badge, girls will talk about how moving our bodies, eating healthy, and doing things to calm our mind are important for self care.

Activity 1: Breath Like a Bear

We can begin by reading the first page of the book, Breath like a Bear. Next, we will have the girls spread out their yoga mats or towels, and sit together on the floor. We will sit up straight, then practice 3 or 4 of the breathing exercises from the book.

Activity 2: Self Care

Once we have finished the breathing exercises we will take care of our skin, we’ll do face masks and cucumber slices on our eyes (just for fun)

Activity 3: Self Care Bingo!

We’ll end our meeting with a self care Bingo game!

At the end of the meeting we’ll hand out badges. Girls will receive the Create and Innovate badge (that had been backordered) the Me Time badge, and those who attended International Night and volunteered at cookie booths will receive those fun patches.
