This will be a combined meeting with 2nd grade OLL Brownies! As girls arrive we’ll create partner pairs, so the 3rd grade Brownies will pair with 2nd grade Brownies, sit together at tables and help them with the activities. Troop 2568 girls should introduce themselves to the younger Brownies, like they learned at our last meeting!

First we will do this worksheet as we wait for all girls to arrive:

Once all girls arrive we will stand to say the pledge of allegiance, then the girl scout promise. Then we will sit and read Mixed by Arree Chung, a story about community and color mixing! (And if time we will also read Beautiful Oops by Barney Saltzberg, about how every mistake can lead to something beautiful.)

For our art project we will be making our own puffy paint! Each girl gets a small canvas, then we will help them mix their own colors by mixing food coloring into shaving cream. *Note adults will need to manage the food coloring! It may stain their hands, so we should have adults or the Caddettes help with this.

We’ll end the meeting with singing the Friendship song and the older girls can teach the young girls the Brownie smile song. Girls will have earned their Art & Design badge!
